Liquid soapnuts
7-10 soapnuts
6 cups water
Place soapnuts and water in a small saucepan.
Bring to a boil and boil gently for 30 minutes.
You want to end up with about 4 cups of soapnut liquid. If the water evaporates too much, add a little more water to keep the amount at 4 cups.
Pour the liquid into a jar and it is ready to use.
Some people prefer to strain the soap nuts out at this point but I kind of like to
look at them so I leave them in.
Whichever way you do it, when strained, throw the used soapnuts in the compost, or as a last resort, the garbage.
